Tips For Choosing A Hotel

Filed under: Travel — freetraffic @ 4:03 am

What vacationer is happy, when arriving at their lodging, to find that the hotel is not well kept or that their room has been given to someone else? Hotel reviews on the internet are one of the very best ways to judge the quality of a hotel without actually seeing it in person. There are many, many sites that not only give stars for quality but also offer reviews written by people who have stayed in the hotel recently. What are most travelers seeking?

Cleanliness and friendliness: Certainly you want your hotel to be clean and have a friendly staff, no matter the price of the hotel. If you’re willing to spend more you may be able to procure a room in a hotel with a concierge. A concierge will be able to tell you the best restaurants to eat in and the best places to visit.

Security: 24/7 front desk staff is a must in a good hotel. Good hotels also have full security staff. Key cards are the best keys. They can be discarded when a lodger checks out and they can be replaced if they are lost.

Cost: Cost is perhaps the most important aspect of hotel accommodations to many travelers. If you visit a hotel review site you will be offered a range of prices that will give you a good idea of what you should expect to pay. If you must choose the most inexpensive room, you must. But consider paying a little more to get some extras like a hotel dining room or a pool for the kids.

Convenient location: Unless you want to rent a car, you probably want a hotel in a location that’s near restaurants and attractions. A hotel within walking or cab distance of these is a good way to save money. However, if you want to rent a car, be sure that you can conveniently get back and forth to where the car rental location is or that the car rental company will deliver the car.

The best way to book a clean, safe, and friendly hotel room in a convenient location is to do some internet research and then call the hotel and check on certain aspects that interest you. Be sure to specify if you plan to arrive late. Get the name of the person you speak with and have them email you a confirmation so you can check on the details of your reservation before you arrive. And have a wonderful time!

There are several cruise lines in Europe and because of this the competition has increased. So now there is a voting system for people to vote on the cruise line they have been in. There are many people who go on cruises on a yearly basis to Europe or to the Caribbean. When they come back they write a brief review on how their trip was. The positive review gives a point to the cruise line and negative takes the point away. General public started this system 18 months ago or so.

Currently the best three European cruise lines are below:

They have always been a big name but recently because of the help they provided to pick people up from Spain and bring them back to England because of volcanic ash has given them lots of votes. The kids offers activities for children aged between 3 to 15 and also has a friendly environment. Parents and children both can interact with the people from different culture and countries.

July 26, 2010
Filed under: Business Travel — freetraffic @ 9:04 pm

If you are planning to book an airline ticket, you may be confused as to which class to choose for. If you have only traveled in economy till date and you want to try business class, it is essential that you must know about business class very well. Many could have told you about their experience in traveling upper level class flights and you certainly want to try it out. Most often you too find it very difficult to get a business class seat too. So, is it worth taking all the trouble to get an executive class ticket?

Basically business class also recognized as executive class refers to the quality services provided by certain flights for their passengers who are willing to spend some extra money. Apart from this, services like first class, coach and coach plus are also offered by the airlines. The coach plus are the normal economy or the economy plus seats. The option of selecting executive class largely depends on your personal preferences. Furthermore, the services and comforts in an executive class vary with each airline company and each business class airlines offers different options and amenities for their passengers. Most people go for executive class for the better seating that it supplies. The seats are wider and a minimum of four inches of space is let for between the rows. This obviously provides more leg room. If you are tired of flying in uncomfortable economy seats, the executive class would be a luxury without feeling overcrowded. Some flights may even provide seats that lie almost flat and also lie down very much. However, the seats that completely lie flat are reserved for first class passengers. While flying business class, you can enjoy the luxury of having quality food and beverages. The passengers traveling to Jackson Hole Wyoming are given chance to choose from an expanded menu. From time to time, a limited variety of beverages are offered free during the flight. All these amenities are included in the airline fare itself. But if you go for some particular dishes while you are on your way to Jackson Hole Wyoming, you may need to pay some extra money.

Yet another advantage given to the passengers is the business class lounge at the airport. Services such as access to computers and email are open to the travelers in the lounge. It may even have a nap area and provides drinks. If you are waiting for another flight to Jackson Hole Wyoming for longer periods, such lounges are really helpful. If you are traveling in upper levels, you would be let to board the airline first. While the remainder of the passengers would be boarding, the upper level travelers would be offered beverages. Such privileged ones can avoid the rest of the people as they can enter and exit the plane through some special doorways sometimes.
