There are 60 cruise lines which holds over 300 cruise ships but choosing the right ship and cruise line is very important. The price for cruising holiday can be quite a lot so it is important you choose the right cruise line.

Below are the list of top family cruise lines at the moment. Princess cruises, regent cruises, Holland America cruises, MSC cruises, Royal Caribbean cruises, Disney cruise line, celebrity cruises, Costa cruise lines, Crystal cruises and Cunard line.

All of the above cruise lines have terrific service on board with facilities for both children and parents. There are several cruise lines competing against each other. The ratings of below cruises are done on a bi monthly basis to include new ships, on board policies and product enhancements. The Royal Cruising Society members evaluate the scores for the cruise lines judging their activities bi monthly. cunard cruises, regent cruise, crystal cruises , Royal Caribbean cruises, celebrity cruises have always been features in top ten but will they feature again?? We will find out soon.

Here are the top ten cruise lines.

In number one we have the World Of Residensea. Seabourn Cruise Line is in second place. At position three we have Regent cruise lines (top ten for them again). Then at number four we have Silversea cruise line. Then we have Crystal cruise line at number five. Then we have Sea Dream yacht club at number 6. A Cunard cruise line are in number 7 and was only launched in 2004 as the largest and the most expensive liner ever built but that was short lived. Oceania cruises are in number eight. At number 9 we have Azamara cruise line. Azamara is a part of Royal Caribbean cruises as it was created by them. It has been around since 1986, at number ten we have the Windstar cruise line.

There we have the list of finest cruise lines. Other famous cruises such as Voyages To Antiquity and Celebrity Cruises are in position 12 and 13 respectively and have fallen down by 4 places each.

Filed under: Travel — freetraffic @ 6:48 pm

America Brings to us a wide variety of different holiday choices. Hotel holidays and villa holidays can be boring. There is so much more for you to indulge in. Florida holidays are a prime example, there are theme parks, water parks, beaches and mangroves, is that not enough diversity. There is a whole bunch more for you to try when you get to the USA.

• Take a Fly Drive holiday across the USA. The USA is obviously massive in size, and this means that there is a lot to see. In order to see as much of America as possible, Fly Drive holidays work quite well. Route 66 is a popular travel route for those that want to explore the USA. You may not be able to see all of America, but you do travel from one coast to the other. Renting yourself a cheap car for a lengthy holiday to visit all the states that you want to. There is so much for you to enjoy, and when you drive, you get to make the decisions. As long as you make it to your plane in time, you can take all the time you want.

Ranch holidays are becoming ever popular. Welcome to the Wild West in it’s former glory, just you, your horse and cattle driving. This has started to become a very popular holiday. Just you and your wits, including the guide of course. This way you can try something different, instead of your normal villa holiday!

• The Rail tours provide another very different way of exploring the USA. This is a much more romantic way to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the USA and there options for 2 week rail journeys across the USA or just a couple of days! Of course you will be pausing at many locations to see many different famous landmarks. The schedules are usually quite strict, but there is plenty to see!

These are just a few examples of different holiday types that can be enjoyed! If you want to try something different, try one of these, maybe go for Florida holidays anyway! !

The Advantages Of Traveling In Business Class.

July 26, 2010
Filed under: Business Travel — freetraffic @ 9:04 pm

If you are planning to book an airline ticket, you may be confused as to which class to choose for. If you have only traveled in economy till date and you want to try business class, it is essential that you must know about business class very well. Many could have told you about their experience in traveling upper level class flights and you certainly want to try it out. Most often you too find it very difficult to get a business class seat too. So, is it worth taking all the trouble to get an executive class ticket?

Basically business class also recognized as executive class refers to the quality services provided by certain flights for their passengers who are willing to spend some extra money. Apart from this, services like first class, coach and coach plus are also offered by the airlines. The coach plus are the normal economy or the economy plus seats. The option of selecting executive class largely depends on your personal preferences. Furthermore, the services and comforts in an executive class vary with each airline company and each business class airlines offers different options and amenities for their passengers. Most people go for executive class for the better seating that it supplies. The seats are wider and a minimum of four inches of space is let for between the rows. This obviously provides more leg room. If you are tired of flying in uncomfortable economy seats, the executive class would be a luxury without feeling overcrowded. Some flights may even provide seats that lie almost flat and also lie down very much. However, the seats that completely lie flat are reserved for first class passengers. While flying business class, you can enjoy the luxury of having quality food and beverages. The passengers traveling to Jackson Hole Wyoming are given chance to choose from an expanded menu. From time to time, a limited variety of beverages are offered free during the flight. All these amenities are included in the airline fare itself. But if you go for some particular dishes while you are on your way to Jackson Hole Wyoming, you may need to pay some extra money.

Yet another advantage given to the passengers is the business class lounge at the airport. Services such as access to computers and email are open to the travelers in the lounge. It may even have a nap area and provides drinks. If you are waiting for another flight to Jackson Hole Wyoming for longer periods, such lounges are really helpful. If you are traveling in upper levels, you would be let to board the airline first. While the remainder of the passengers would be boarding, the upper level travelers would be offered beverages. Such privileged ones can avoid the rest of the people as they can enter and exit the plane through some special doorways sometimes.

European Holidays : Cities Not To Miss Out On

July 3, 2010
Filed under: Travel — freetraffic @ 4:00 am

So you are planning a trip to Europe? There are certain cities that are “must sees.” They are the location of world famous sites and landmarks, and offer a special insight into Europe’s myriad of cultures.

The beautiful Spanish city of Barcelona sits on the Mediterranean coast. As a consequence of it being the capital of the Catalan region of Spain, it has its own proud and unique history and culture, which sets it apart from the majority of Spain. Historically and and architecturally there is a lot of interest, from Roman ruins to spectacular churches. There are countless art galleries and museums to walk around and also a selection of beautiful, relaxing beaches. For sports fans, there is the opportunity to watch a game of football at the Camp Nou, which is home to what is widely agreed to be the best football team on the planet.

And finally, there’s Paris. Everyone knows that Paris is one of the most romantic cities in the world. It is also large and full of life. The center of Paris is home to many famous architectural sites including the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, and The Eiffel Tower. Much of Paris’ character comes from the River Seine which runs through the city. Paris is also the home of all sorts of secret city squares and hidden gardens. The most famous art museum in Paris is, of course, The Louvre but there are many, many others. And, of course, Paris is known for its restaurants and shopping.

And who would pass Venice by? Venice is a group of islands linked together by canals and is set in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. It is a rich center of history as, at one time, it was one of the most powerful cities in Europe. This power was based on its merchant shipping and naval power. Venice flaunts its rich history in its fabulous architecture. Much important art of the Renaissance came out of Venice and it can still be visited in Venice today. You can travel through Venice by foot but who would leave Venice without partaking of a gondola trip?

London is, arguably, the most diverse city on the planet. More languages are spoken by its inhabitants than in any other city in the world and it is a real melting pot of cultures. There are a huge range of things to keep you entertained in London – theaters, museums, art galleries and famous buildings. You think that you can every major city has those, but what is on offer in London is a cut above what you will find elsewhere. It is a paradise for shoppers, music lovers and sports too. Whether it is designer clothes, live music or star filled sports teams you want, you will not be disappointed.

Taking Your Kids On A Cruising Holiday

April 4, 2010
Filed under: cruise — freetraffic @ 8:35 am

Many teens and kids are always locked in their room after school to play on their computer games such as XBOX, WII and PS3. They are either on their computer games or the Internet or listening to music. To be honest I don’t remember meeting a kid or a teen who enjoys spending time with his or her parents after school unless they want to watch TV. Either its the kids who go straight to their room after school, if not then the parents tell them to go do their homework and then when they go up they never come down till the dinner is ready. From this they don’t want to spend time with their family on their days off from School either so this can be pushing a lot of kids away from their parents.

Not so long ago I did a research in the school I teach asking the kids on what they would like to do on their days off from school. Shockingly they admitted they would love to go on cruises with their parents other than doing the same thing over and over again which is visit their relatives. I didn’t say it, its the kids who are saying it. Then I questioned them on where they would prefer going on a cruising holiday? Many answered that they would like to go on royal Caribbean cruises and few replied Holland American line cruises. It is interesting isn’t it I bet you never thought your children would say that but hey they do indeed. I have certainly realized that kids nowadays are far more intelligent than before.

So parents take your kids on a cruising holiday this summer. This way you can bring your family close together so don’t look at it as a holiday. Spending time with each other is a great way of bonding. Normally these trips also help you learn a lot about each other which is why it’s great for families.

Go To Caribbean For A Cruise

March 26, 2010
Filed under: cruise — freetraffic @ 12:36 pm

If you are looking for cruises or holidays, you should definitely think about Caribbean being the next destination. There are more than 6,000 islands in the World to choose from while selecting a holiday to an island, but Caribbean island should definitely be in the top of the list for many people looking for a holiday.

The reason I am recommending Caribbean island is because it offers something for everyone from family, couples to singles. For couples getaways I suggest Bermuda as it has a great range of restaurants, bars and beautiful resorts. Jamaica is also a perfect romantic destination with lovely beaches and great rum parties in various bars and clubs. These destinations are a must see at least once in your lifetime. Another two places ideal for romantic couples are St. Lucia and St. Vincent. You will get to see amazing blue water and white sandy beaches in these two destinations. You can roam around St. Vincent and look at places where Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed. At these destinations you might even meet some celebrities while your there.

For family adventure it is definitely the Bahamas. Royal Caribbean cruises has to finish in Bahamas for a family. Grand Bahama Island and Atlantis on Paradise Island are two beautiful resorts of Caribbean, which is idle for family. Aruba is another family destination because of it’s friendly surroundings and many off site resort activities such as water sports.

Mostly people from Europe get a good deal with all inclusive packages for a trip to Caribbean island. I was lucky enough to find a good cruising deal to Caribbean from UK last year. The best part of getting packages of cruise holidays is that you get to travel Europe as well as Caribbean island. There are many packages to choose from so make sure you choose a good one. Always do some research online before buying holidays. Read reviews of what people have said about the cruise. Read their thoughts and their experiences. This can prevent holiday in hell experience for you.

Cool Off At These USA Getaway Resorts

December 3, 2009
Filed under: Travel — freetraffic @ 8:31 pm

America is well known for boasting some of the hottest places in the world and in the summer months the heat can get very intense. Of course many people favor this over dull and miserable weather, but in the heat its sometimes difficult to enjoy yourself as you can get flustered. One of the best solutions is to find somewhere with some cool water and a fun atmosphere where you can bring your body temperature down a little. Below we look at three such places in more detail.

Newport Beach Resort, California. Featured in the recent hit TV show The OC, Newport has fast become a favourite hangout of Hollywood stars and the rich who have time to burn. USA holidays to Newport have seen a sharp increase in the last 5 years, partly due to the increased profile of the resort, but also because it now boasts some of the best shopping and restaurants in the whole country.

Key West, Florida. This great place can be found in the Florida Keys and is famed from its vibrant atmosphere, as well as its world-class water sports. You can hire a boat for the day and do a bit of fishing, and when it gets a bit hot just take a quick dip and do some snorkeling…pure heaven. If you want a bit more entertainment then head into town, where you’ll find street performers, artists and more bars serving refreshing drinks than almost any other USA holidays resort.

Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Texas. If it’s hot and you’ve got kids, then chances are they won’t be satisfied hanging around drinking pina coladas all day, or maybe they will. What is more likely however is that they want to get into their swimming costumes and go shooting down water slides and divining into wave machines. This water park hosts an impressive 65-acres worth of water fun and constantly updates its attractions, which explains why it wins numerous awards each year.

If you still can’t cool down enough however and you’re not enjoying summer, you can always go on Canada holidays instead, where the climate is a little fresher.

Use A Travel Agent To Find Your Dream Cruise

May 4, 2009

By Stevie

When you think about travel, what do you think of first? Which aspects of travel are important, which are essential, and which ones can you take or leave? You be the judge.

Travel agents, since they are expert in this field, can present you with a number of options of cheap holiday places as well as flights. In fact, they are familiar with the tricks of this trade and thus can help you find the best possible travelling options within your budget. Travel agents have to keep themselves up to date if they are going to be able to compete for your business. Travel agents can also help you save money on flight, hotel rooms, cruises, and more; but what about online travel agencies? While people worry that Internet travel agencies could scam you or provide low-quality service, there are actually a number of benefits to choosing an online travel agency, providing that you pick the right one.

Travel agents sell 87 percent of cruises, 81 percent of all tours and packages, 51 percent of all airline tickets, 47 percent of all hotels and 45 percent of all car rentals. Travel agents do not have to thoroughly investigate suppliers. In general, they are required only to stay current with reasonably available information, such as what is in trade journals and magazines. Travel agents are a God-send when you have not travelled to a destination in some time. Particularly, an agent who specializes in destinations that interest you.

Travel agents will confer with an array of both published and Internet sources for information on airline and hotel accommodations. The agent must be able to get the best possible arrival and departure times of airlines that meet the needs of the client. Travel agents had suspended sale of tickets of the two airlines on December 29. Travel agents can have knowledge of the area as well as such things as transportation, accommodations, and hospitality issues.

Those of you not familiar with the latest on travel now have at least a basic understanding. But there’s more to come.

Ask the agent to give you specifics about how she can help with your trip. Ask friends for recommendations — eventually someone will offer a glowing recommendation of an agent. Remember that different agents will have different expertise. Ask your agent about the nitty-gritty details of your trip, including airport connections, bus and taxi services, tipping, foreign currency conversion, and safety concerns such as government-issued travel advisories and warnings. Most important, get a phone number that you can use for after-hours emergencies (at the airport early Sunday morning after your wedding, for instance) and on your trip, preferably toll-free, or collect if calling from outside the country.

Travel agents generally work regular hours and spend most of their time at a desk. Hours may be longer during holiday and vacation seasons. Travel agents inform consumers about the price, availability and other details of various travel options and make reservations and sell tickets to the travellers for the travel services they choose.

Students learn the basic skills needed to operate a computer reservation system. This program consists of two modules including a travel career development module and an interactive reservation system module. Students participating in this program usually arrange their stay in the United States through a recruiting agency that has been accredited by the U.S. The fees charged by travel agents vary significantly.
